Sam belonged to my son and we all lived together. He was the perfect companion. Obedient and so easy to train.He was very energetic and needed a lot of excercise. He was very protective but I never ever saw him get angry with humans. He was such a beautiful dog and everyone loved him.We used to take him to the seaside every weekend and he'd go miles along the beach with my son.All labrador retrievers adore water and Sam and his beloved Candy who belonged to my daughter (but moved in with me eventually) were no exception / we just could'nt keep them out of the sea !I have some beautiful memories of Sam and Candy and they can never fade.I remember most of all how gentle they both were with my Grandchildren and the the happy times we had with them and even though we had other animals they all fitted in together with love !His Soul Mate Candy couldn't bear to be parted from him and when he passed over she followed him soon after. They were never parted in life and and so it's fitting that they are together now.They truly could'nt live without each other! I've brought little Chloe for you two to look after for me. My son bought Chloe for me to ease Sam's passing. She was bought from kennels and was 2yrs old . Unfortunately I only had her for 4 weeks and 2 of those were spent in kennels at the vets.After 3 days and a visit to the vets she was found to have 'parvo'we were told at the kennels they had missed giving her the injections and she'd picked it up from a stray.The kennels had to be closed down and disinfected thoroughly but that did'nt help Chloe. So sad that I only had her for a short while but she was loved the same as the others and I know we can renew the friendship when we meet again ... Bless you all. xxx
